- Violin Making FREE CommunityHello Folks, I have printed the Titian scroll on A4 paper at 100%, but the lower part of the neck is truncated. The entire scroll was visible when I printed it on legal paper at 100% scale, and it measures approximately 143.5 inches along the fingerboard side. I figured it should be 130.5 plus the depth of the mortise. What dimension should I have when the template is printed? Thanks, Wayne
- Violin Making FREE CommunityHappy w lumber I’ve received from Carpathian Tonewoods in Romania. A few more years to season wood, study and collect tools, etc before work begins. I believe I have enough for 7 units, I hope for atleast 3 successful “violin shaped objects” and one I hope will be playable. I don’t play, but my niece does. 🤣 Just for fun I’ve also procured 2 “one piece” maple backs. Birdseye and figured. They’re so neat I just couldn’t pass them up.
